Every time I look through the classifieds, I end up feeling sad and angry. So many pets up for adoption - specially cats. These poor animals are being abandoned for stupid reasons such as "my apartment won't allow cats".
I've owned animals my entire life, and even when I was renting. If the place didn't allow animals... I kept looking. It wasn't even an OPTION for me. I know there are unforseen circumstances that come up, but some of these "excuses" make me red in the face!
Here is one:
3 year old cat - "We would love to keep her however she doesn't like the other kitties in the house"
If I can an animal I make a commitment for that animals life. I won't just abandon it for whatever reason. I hope these animals all find homes, but the truth is most will probably end up in shelters or worse.
