Your little one sits easiily - it's natural to him, but he doesnt know what it's called. Try standing / sitting in front of him with a favourite treat. Move the treat slightly above his head (between his ears) - and he should automatically lower his butt to the floor to reach the treat. At the moment his butt hits the floor, say "SIT" - and then reward. He'll gradually get the hang that the command and the reward are associated, and will perform happily. Try getting him to sit at kerbs when crossing roads. Try games of fetch with him, only offering a reward when he sits on returning the toy. Believe me, he'll soon get the hang of it! |
