Same thing here - and I thought my little guy was different but it sounds like it's a common thing among Yorkies though.

My Littlest Mac chews the fuzz off every tennis ball and chews apart soft fleece toys very easily (within hours of getting them home), etc. Such a waste of $$. I'll be looking for Nylabone toys for him too. My other two dogs (a shih tzu and a sheppard/collie/husky cross) have no problem playing and chewing gently on the same toys!
