yea, the pies have definately shrunk. But I always bake my own for the holidays and feed people store ones when I have the whim.
i have a recipe for a crust that tastes like sugar cookie and is DELICIOUS with pumpkin pie or apple...actually its pretty darn good with any kind if you're interested. Its a ton easier to make than traditional pie crust.
