When we brought Lucy home at 8 weeks, we had a three hour car journey (with several pee breaks, just in case). She lay in my lap while my husband drove, and although she whimpered a little for about the first 20 miles, she then settled quite happily and slept, only waking to poop all over me - yuk! - without warning.
Lucy has spent loads of time in the car with us since. She has a little car harness and a blankie on the passenger seat, and will just curl up and sleep happily - or sit up on my husband's lap and watch the world go by. We had bought some Bach's Rescue Remedy in case she needed to chill a bit - but it's never been necessary. Lucy loves being in the car! |
