Oh I'm so sorry your family was faced with such a difficult decision around the holidays. But you made the right choice. I think dogs feel embarrassment and loss of dignity and you spared her that. She was very lucky to have the vet come to her instead of you having to bring her to a place that not many dogs like. I'll be thinking of you and your family.
