Please use the search feature, enter patellar luxation and LP. Use the advanced search. Search the forum sick and injured, and enter surgery in the main search and my user name in the user field search. There are too many threads to count that discuss this condition. My Gracie had bilateral knee surgery for LP. I posted a day-to-day accounting of what we went through. At this young age, I would caution against jumping into surgery. Many puppies will outgrow it. I would wait until the pup is 6 months to one year old, then get x-rays under sedation to find out how severe the problem really is. It does cause them pain every time the patella luxates, even though the dog may not look or act like it is in pain. This is a big surgery, nothing to be taken lightly.
Here is one of my threads about Gracie.http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...-hospital.html It still brings tears to my eyes to read these posts I made!
