Maximus is only 12 weeks old (tomorrow), but I love that little booger so much! I can only imagine how much fun I would have dressing up a little girl! Maximus will be getting neutered and my "lil Princess" will be spade. Will I still have issues of "mating"? Is it just in dogs to do that kind of stuff? or if they are fixed young enough, the hormones just go away?
I'm not planning running out today, tomorrow, or in the next few months, but I have been considering the thought in the future.

there are a TON of people who have little boy and little girl siblings.. i have also heard, they are more likely to get along right away, as well!

we have 2 girls.. and i was SO worried that Avie would NOT like Gemma.. but she did AMAZING, right from the start!!

the 2 main things we did were:
-a quick introduction, outside the house (we just did it in the front yard) and only for a couple minutes.. (let Avery smell Gemma, etc.) then we took them inside

-also, we made sure to greet Avery, first.. pay EXTRA attention to her.. etc. that way she still felt completely spoiled and loved and didn't have any resentment towards Gemma!

i could NOT have had a better experience, bringing home Avie's lil sister!!

they LOVE each other so so much!! they are BEST FRIENDS for sure.. their personalities are a great balance to each other! Their daddy & I, could not imagine not having them both.. and i KNOW they couldn't either!!

(by the way, to answer your question.. Avery and Gemma are almost exactly a year apart.. we brought Gemma home at almost 16 weeks-because she was so little. Avery was about 1 year 4 months old!
