you didn't know any better when you bought her..
and i'm sure it
would be a difficult thing to discuss with your cousin (some people will always take things the wrong way! hard to bring up, how to say it.. etc.) but i think ultimately, you should tell her the reasons(not to buy from pet stores, etc.) & that you were aware of those reasons AFTER you had already bought their baby!
she should realize that you did it with good intentions!
also, this way she will now know the truth, and pass along info./educate others, if it comes up!
it's not like you are lying to her..if she looks it up online.. she will find a TON of info(that backs you up!!)
don't worry about it, girl.. they love their baby and that's all that matters! (she is a good fit for them, and you found ur Maya, who is a perfect fit, for you!
