When we lived in Sault Ste Marie- every Christmas even we had a come and go at our house- 40 or so people would come and so would "Santa"
I remember as a kid watching in the backyard for him to walk up to the door! Many people would say- it was never Christmas until our come and go. It was SUCH a special time.
Now that all the kids are older and we dont' live in the Soo we go to Florida every year and every Christmas Eve we watch Christmas Vacation- and every year we laugh harder than the last.
New Year's Eve dinner is always crab legs, lobster and steak
