I bought my pup for $350 bucks out of some country housewife's living room, and the vet says he's healthy as a horse. No medications, no Nutracal, nothing. He's not show quality but he has solid conformation, and since I got to see the father, I have a pretty good idea what he's going to look like as an adult too. He came with pre-registration, a health guarantee, and preliminary housetraining.

LOL your first statement was too funny!!

I bought my pups exactly like you bought yours. At the time I never ever even heard of puppymills and backyard breeders. I found a woman who had been breeding yorkies for 25 years. She was a backyard breeder. I got them for $700/each and they were both healthy and I took them home at 9weeks old, never needed nutrical, never had any problems with them whatsoever. They seem to be hardy pups and more or less look like standard yorkies. One has a cotton coat, the other is a bit larger (9lbs) than standard should be.

They came with papers that I could AKC register them, I chose not to since they are pets to me and fixed. I saw the mom and dad and overall was happy with the breeder. I think I made the best choice for me. I would buy from her again if I ever needed or wanted another pup. I would also recommend her. I thought she genuinely cared for her dogs and loved the pups and took good care of them. The only thing I didnt like was she smoked in the house with the pups and probably while she held them. She handled the pups a lot, her and her hubby had 2 recliner chairs in a room with a woodstove where they kept the new pups in a playpen. They would hold them everynight to get them socialized. But she chain smoked.
