I'm glad you got your baby back. Omg I know the feeling, Lexi got out of the yard once and I was completely frantic. I couldn't find her anywhere. I was so worried someone would have picked up my 5 month old baby... And someone did.
I asked a gentleman if he say her, and he said yes and pointed to a house across the street. Luckily the woman also had yorkies so she snatched her up and took her inside. She must have heard me yelling because she came out. Oh my gosh - I felt so sick. That helpless feeling of them being gone with nothing you can do.
I do hope that it is a misunderstanding and these people didn't try to steal your dog. But you never know in this world. There are some real creeps that only consider themselves.
Someone told me once that putting a name on the collar is a bad thing because people are more likely to become attached to the pet if it is wearing a nametag. Although I don't know if that is actually true or now.
