For just such an occassion I have never thrown away the box my gate came in. Google this "Clear Choice Gate". They are escape proof. Go ahead and get the taller one, because Maya can now jump as high as the gate, and if she grows any more she is going to figure out up and over pretty soon.
When you put it in the door frame, put the lock bar on YOUR side, or else they might figure out how to use it for a foothold.
But on their side the is NOTHING they can use to climb out with, trust me.
