We had to go through a whole round of antibiotics with Gizmo recently by actually putting the pill in the very back of his throat to get him to take it. You just open his/her mouth wide and put it as far back as you can. It helps to hold their head up. Then, I massaged his throat until he swallowed. Occasionally, I had to do it again if it didn't go down the first time and he spit it out.
Also, someone suggested butter. Maybe it was Chattiesmom? |
Thanks Judy! I will try that if nothing else works but she also had some adult teeth pulled that must be causing her pain because when I go near her mouth, she growls.
We are going to try the peanut butter again a little later tonight. Daddy is also bringing home some yummy baby food! If that doesn't work I will try butter also. I hope we can get her to eat. She hasn't eaten all day.
