I have two human children too. I like having the dogs because if a man can't deal with dogs, chances are he'll be bad with my human children too.
Now that I am single and dating (ugh), I find that unless I'm out with my sister, I'd much rather be watching a movie or reading a book, with my furkids all around me.
I think that animals in general give that unconditional love that all of us deserve, so if a man sees me walking my dogs and thinks that I'm trying to prepare for human kids, newsflash, I have them already.
But then, I am usually the meanest woman in the club/bar anyway. I don't make small talk, I don't accept drinks, I'm not going home with anyone, I'm not giving my phone number out, I don't ask for numbers, and because of a misspent youth, I don't get drunk out there either.
Just reading that, there are so many things that I don't do, I might as well stay at home anyway right? Lol. I should probably stop going through all the mess of getting ready and just wear a stop sign.
Yeah. And like others, I'd rather be home with all my kids or in the bookstore. |
