Both my boys were fine the afternoon of their surgery. Honestly neither acted like anything had beed done at all.

You won't need water, treats, or food when you pick him up. If anything...he will be sleepy and sometimes the anethesia upsets tummies. By evening you can offer food...I never restricted mine from water. It was there if they wanted it.

My vet's office won't take in their personal items like blankets....so he may or may not be allowed his bed.
