Actually, there are studies that show parvo affects dogs with darker colors more. Not that it doesn't affect dogs with any color, statistics have shown that dogs with darker coloring are more susceptible. I can't remember where I read it, but I remember seeing that when I was doing my research.
Franklin got parvo at around 4-5 months. We caught it extremely early and we were fortunate enough to have him survive. It took a week in the hospital with intensive IV treatment and antibiotics. I am so sorry that you had to lose your pup. I know that it's a frightening and upsetting experience. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
