I know it's tough to do, but if you think she's in pain...
We had to go through a whole round of antibiotics with Gizmo recently by actually putting the pill in the very back of his throat to get him to take it. You just open his/her mouth wide and put it as far back as you can. It helps to hold their head up. Then, I massaged his throat until he swallowed. Occasionally, I had to do it again if it didn't go down the first time and he spit it out.
Also, someone suggested butter. Maybe it was Chattiesmom?
