I would say for sure, don't let the puppy out of your site. When Lilly is out. I have to watch her constantly, and I mean not taking my eye of her for more than 5 seconds.
If I don't feel like watching her, she goes in the x pen, on the lino floor. So at least if she pees or poops, its a fairly easy mess to clean up.
We don't have much carpet in our house, just in the one bedroom. I keep her strictly out of that carpet area at this point. She is the same way. Likes to piddle from time to time.
I am almost a Yorkie owner. We went to the breeder yesterday to visit Mandy and was told we could take her home next week which would make her almost 7 weeks old. We have three other dogs not yorkies and we always took them home when they were 10-12 weeks old so I was really worried. I even e mailed another breeder to see what she had to say and she won't let hers go until they are 12 weeks old. Reading your post I see yours is 7 weeks so I quess it is OK. We also called our vet and was told 7 weeks was not to young. Oh the joys of housebreaking will soon be coming. Any input on the age by anyone?
