Ollie sleeps in a crate next to my bed. I would be afraid he would smother or get crushed in the bed (I'm a rough sleeper) and besides that, the cat has already claimed one side of it. I can't sleep with the cat and the dog. I don't really like animals on the bed, but the cat is old and it's an ingrained habit. If I could do it over again, I wouldn't have the cat on the bed either...
But no, I don't think it makes them dominant unless they already have dominance issues. And then I think it might make them worse.
My pup is super submissive, so he wouldn't "take airs" from being allowed to sleep on the bed. |
