! My boyfriend got food poisoning a few months ago, it was awful. He works on the road and we tried to get the place to pay for the Dr. bills but they were being lame about it. ANYWAY... the doctors told him not to eat anything for at least a day or so because whatever "poison" is in your body will continue to make you throw up your food if you try to eat.
