Question

I have micro-chipped and agree, the tag is not on his collar. I am also ordering an ID tag, but a health warning tag, I intend on having "liver problems-reward offered" on the tag. He does not have liver issues, but my hope is that this will encourage who finds him if ever lost to return him to us? Or possibly taking him to vet, who hopefully scans.

Any thoughts on this? I feel a little guilty about being dishonest but I believe Yorkie's have a higher average for being stolen and the fact they are just so cute and lovable, I fear he may not be returned even if he is found.

This is a worry for us, as with all of you.

One question, if a dog is taken in to the vet and scanned. How is the vet notified that this is a missing/stolen dog? Also, do they have the authority to retain the dog if this is discovered?
