If anyone is interested in teaching that trick, I found a book on tricks that helped a lot. It suggests looping the leash under one paw and luring the dog forward a step or two with a "limp" command. They said you can go from there to a "sling" that holds one paw up. I haven't tried that part yet.
I'd been working on this trick for a LONG time with no headway. I was just holding one of his paws. The leash trick sped things up a lot. |
Oh cool, I was ready for a new trick, Joey finally learned to pray, hallelujah! This trick took by far the longest of any, I've been working on it for a whole year, and the little atheist just wouldn't pray, he finally he got the spirit though, so limping will be our next endeavor.
