I have a male and a female yorkie which I wouldn't trade for the world. I find that funny what you said about your female favoring your husband. My female is the same way and I had her for two years before I met my husband. Now when he is around, its like I'm not even there. But my male is my baby! He is defiantly a mommas boy! I hear that is the case a lot with male dogs, they tend to like the female owner and female dogs tend to like the male owners. I think you should get a male as long as you intend on getting him fixed. My male became more calm once he was neutered and he stopped lifting his leg on the furniture.
I don't believe all male yorkies are annoying and rowdy. I know mine isn't. I think it all depends on how you raise him. If you let him get away with barking and tearing things up, he will!
