I've actually done that at work ,prior to where I live now,I never had a dishwasher. I put liquid dish soap in my (work) dish washer,and it was out of control!!!!! SUDS everywhere!!!! If (and i don't know how they figured this out)you put Tang (THAT ORANGE DRINK STUFF) in there it works to kill the suds,. Someone with too much time on their hands full ,obviously...figured this out. I now know the deal. NEVER USE LIQUID SOAP IN A DISHWASHER!!!!
