Yes, and don't take he anywhere other dogs have been, except the vet in a carrier, until she's had all her shots. I've read of a few horror stories from owners who only let their dogs play in a park where at the time no other dogs were seen, but they still picked up illnesses. Dogs are attracted to other dog scents and will seek them out, making it really easy for them to catch things. I haven't read anything about the horrors of vaccines, only that you shouldn't overdo it. Also, don't give the rabies shot with the other shots, do it separately, this usually means a separate office visit, but some vets won't charge for that.
