Just as Ellie May said, it was really awesome that your vet advised checking his bile acids....my vet never did (multiple vets actually) and mine has liver issues (we don't know what yet...)
I'm guessing you don't have the results of the BAT back yet? (If you do, what were they?) The fact that he has "days when he doesn't feel like being bothered by people" (but otherwise is pretty active) could be a symptom of liver issues, or so I've heard, so even if his BAT comes back normal, get one more done when he's a little older just to be safe. At 4 mo. (I think that's what I read...my mind is going!) I would think he ought to be pretty active unless it's nap time! Hopefully that isn't a symptom, I just wanted to make you aware.
