You had asked me a question about "different" parti lines and the research that's been done in each different line, to insure there are no health issues. My reply to you was that many of the "different" lines seem to all be descendants of one dog.
That information, and the information I posted earlier about what the breeder of this dog had told AKC during the Nikko's Parti investigation in the late
1990's, I only learned of in the past 2 months from researching farther back into pedigrees and from a letter written by one of the parties involved in the investigation.
The one common dog that is seen in the Nikko line and many of the other "outcross" parti lines is Ch Wildweir Pomp N Circumstance. Now, if this dog was a parti carrier, and has passed on the parti gene for nearly 50 years through his offspring, why is it so hard to believe that the parti gene was not passed down to him by other carriers who lived 50-60 years prior to his birth?
