My Ella Bean also has the cottony coat.

Do you have a slicker brush? I find that gets out the teeny mats, and I use a comb to break up the bigger ones.

These dogs have no undercoat, so their fur won't keep them warm - especially in the Norhwest! Time to invest in a parka!!

I use Isle of Dogs shampoo, conditioner and detangler as they are the first products that have kept her relatively mat free. The detangler I spritz in every day before brushing and the mats slide right out!

The most important thing is daily brushing...
