I think the injectin is killed, so it can't give your pup the disease but I think there is some controversy over whether it works as well. The drops can cause kennel cough occasionally. Vets may try to tell you it would be a mild case, but I don't think that is always true. Since it can cause the disease, has to be given every 6 months to be safe and doesn't protect against all strains, I wouldn't put my dog through it unless I had no choice but I guess some people decide to do it because it offers some protection, kennel cough is extremely contagious and lasts a long time and if they get the disease, they could get pneumonia. So, two sides to it... We don't really do non-core vaccines here anymore with Ellie and never did this one at all. She doesn't get boarded or go to the groomer though.
