Same with my Cocker Spaniel. He used to play fetch for hours, and now he runs to get the toy, but I can see he is in pain (he's 15). I pet sit for a lab that is obsessed over the ball. She loves fetch. The Yorkie (who I might adopt) sometimes plays fetch, but I wish he would all the time.
