The vet could not give us an explanation as to what happened with the anesthesia, but at least they apologized and sent cards.
While we understand the benefits of spaying (prevention of breast cancer & uterine problems) we just don't want to take the risk. As far as the teeth go, we brush them. I am still researching the effects of anesthesia on tiny yorkies (and other tiny breeds).
My breeder likes to stay in contact with his clients. He can not account for any type of cancer in any of his yorkies (mates parents,pups) so, we feel confident with regular checkups and quality care (and the grace of God) our babies will be ok.
I hope that we never have to go through such an experience again and wish you and your babies health & happiness always! |
