How long have you had the puppy? I know I just got one the other day, she is 5 1/2 mos. her poop was really soft and smelled terrible, the vet said she thought it was coccidia, and that it was brought on by the new changes, long distance driving, new home, etc. She's only 2 lbs and wasn't eating, which isn't good. Of course, we couldn't get a stool sample, so, they just started treating her for coccidia with albon. And, since I just reread and your vet did get a stool sample to check, that rules that out on your little guy. Hope your baby gets feeling better..poor little thing..I feel for you and your little guy..one thing you may want to try for the poop, is a little bit of canned pumpkin or kaopectate(can't remember how much to give, but, you could ask the vet)..if he's been doing good on the food he was on, I wouldn't change it, or it could mess him up more yet
