Puppy mills have huge lobbies, it takes lots of individual citizens to stand together and fight them. Oprah, and her audience made a difference in Pennsylvania, the governor got on board and passed some great laws, but it was touch and go for a while. Even some people here on Yorkietalk seems more interested in buying a cheap dog, than making sure that the conditions in which the dogs live are humane. I encourage everyone to go see for themselves where the dogs are being raised, this is really the only way we can make a difference. Many people say that it's too inconvenient to do this.
