I would consider it a bad thing since an apple head is an undesirable trait for a show yorkie and it would be considered a fault. Many breeders just do not breed to standard and they just breed for what they think is cute and what will sell. Just like some people want a short legged yorkie, a short muzzled yorkie or a black yorkie, these are undesirable traits for show dogs but some people just like those traits whether they are correct or not. I certainly don't breed for those traits but sometimes they happen.
