It's really best to fix a yorkie when they are a tad older than 6 months. My vet says 8 months. The reason for this is that they have problems losing their baby teeth so if you wait those extra couple of months chances are the teeth will be gone but if there are a few straglers, they can extract them while the pup is under and they won't have to go under twice.
