I lost my little Coco 5 months ago while under anesthesia. Her little sister, Sasha, went into a terrible depression (wouldn't eat or play with her toys). Even though Coco could never be replaced, we contacted our breeder for another baby to keep Sasha company.....I'm so glad we made that decision, because our new little girl, CeCe, has brought happiness & playfulness back to Sasha.
Sasha was due to be spayed & have her teeth cleaned right at the time we lost Coco. She had the pre-op bloodwork and everything. We decided to forgo both procedures because we just can't take the risk of loosing another baby. Coco was 3.5 lbs, Sasha is only 2.5 lbs. I keep reading more and more about anesthesia fatalities in smaller Yorkies.
My heart goes out to you, as I truly feel your pain. The little paw prints they have left on our hearts will remain forever.
