From my experience, dogs usually shake when they are extremely excited or stressed. My yorkie used to shake all the time - he was one of those classic nervious little dogs. Your new one may be somewhat stressed himself.

I resolved my yorkie's problem with exercise and structured play. I don't know how much you can exercise a puppy, but maybe some vigious play sessions will help, and time for him to soak in his new digs.
