She has gotten out of the carrier twice through the velcro flap! In addition, two times we took her out we discovered the tether strap wrapped around her neck!! 
Obviously, we need a different, more secure carrier. We do not mind if it is gently used. Please let me know if you have a carrier you would consider selling us, or know where to find what we're looking for.
We checked Petco and Petsmart tonight and this must not be the season for carriers, because we only found a couple at each place and they were way over our budget.

OMG Judy - I didn't know you got a little girl!!! I have Loki's old carrier (he's way too heavy to carry anywhere) and it's in great shape and zips completely. I'll PM you!
