When I first got Twinkie (she was 5 months old & 2 lbs) she didn't want to eat very much, which I think was due to stress. Try the cottage cheese thing and some canned food too or some chicken baby food. I offered all 3 of these to Twinkie twice a day and left her dry food out all day. Since she wasn't always keen on eating I had to syringe her some baby food a few times...she didn't enjoy this much but she HAD to eat so too bad for her. Since yours is so little it's very important that he eats. It could be the stress of a new home - Twinkie is the biggest pig in the house and now I can't leave food out all the time. You could probably get a syringe from your vet, at least you know he's getting something in his little tummy if you force feed him. JMO, it worked for me.
