YTCA recommends that yorkies are bred to be within the 4 -7 range for health purposes. Members are therefore not allowed to use any terminology (teacup, micro mini, tinies, etc.) that encourages or refers to the breeding for smaller dogs. Therefore most reputable breeders are not breeding to create undersized yorkies but they do pop up sometimes.
