I've never really understood why dogs eat crap!
My parents have a springer spaniel, and when "Daisy" was about 5 or 6, my mom saw her eat cat poop! Which is strange age to do this for a somewhat, adult dog . She would go into the litter box (there wasn't a cover on it) and eat the poop, it was so disgusting. Finally, when my mom noticed she was doing this, she moved the litter box out of the laudry room, and into a storage area in the house and put a baby gate up, so only the cats could get in the room, to do their business. We have no idea if she eats poop out in the backyard, but, I don't think it would surprise me. I'm going to be picking up my new puppy Coco, within the next two weeks, and I hope she doesn't start this.
