My heart goes out to you... I was married to an abusive alcoholic and decided that being with him for 25 yrs was long enough for me. I have 2 beautiful daughters that I cherish. It was a VERY hard decision to leave him although, I knew my life would be better. It was the hardest thing I had ever done in my life. With friends support (family wasn't there for me...another story) I made it through a very tough time in my life. I had good days and bad. My girls were older and really didn't understand why I was leaving their father...(they know now). I prayed A LOT and tried to keep myself busy...I fell into a deep depression. It took me a long time to get over the divorce...I just looked at it as the end of one chapter in my life and the beginning of a new one.
I pray you get through this tough time in your life...
