I don't know. Sounds like he might be having some type of issue. I used to use Pedigree and now I use EVO a much better food. My baby's coat has always been really nice and doesn't get to greasy. I do bathe and condition it once a week. Has he had fleas lately. Maybe he just did a bit of scratching and has rubbed himself raw in some areas.
