Yea, lifting the leg is normal for boys i believe. So they will still do it afterwards. My boy is 3 and is constanlty lifting his leg and marks everything. I am getting him fixed on Friday and I just hope this helps the marking some. I hear they can still mark after being fixed as well. But i truly hope this eases the problem.
