My family is safe. The winds and rain started picking up about 3 am this morning. Our lights stayed on but now the power went down about an hour ago. I filled up our SUV on Wednesday when everyone was panicing and trying to get out. My hubby did not heed my warning to fill his car up but we have at least one tank full. It seems Beaumont and the surrounding areas got the worst of it. I am able to communicate with you guys with my wireless laptop. We have the windows up since our AC and phone lines are down. It could be worse. Thank God we are safe! Thanks for checking.....
