If your vet did not do bloodwork, there's no way the vet can tell you with certainty that your Chewy is fine. Constipation and picky eating(not wanting meat or feeling sick after eating meat) are consistent with liver issues. I would have bloodwork run because this dog has a history of liver shunt. It's better to be safe than sorry. If it turns out that everything is okay and the BAT and blood panel come back normal, then you know you're not dealing with issues due to the liver. If they do come back normal, then you know what you're dealing with. JMO
