at first. But I am not sure whether it would be all right so I posted the question here. Personally, I like to have a bigger dog so I would feel comfortable walking them at night. Then I got all these nice people's response and I thought maybe a bigger one would work. I wasn't considering Standard Poodle (because of their size) until I heard what people have to say here and saw all the photos. I don't really like to have a toy poodle so I am kind of stuck there. Anyway, I guess I am back to Bichon and Westie. I just need to be sure they are not too big for my little girl.
A smaller Bichon would be good, I think. Or a larger yorkie. I love westies... *I* just wouldn't leave a large terrier with Izze. *I* would be terrified.
I have a 12lb oversized toy poodle (Parents were toys)... and she is so sweet. She is big enough that I don't have to watch out as much...and she knows to stay out of my way, since I'm a klutz. But she's too small so you have to be careful when carrying things, as not to drop anything on her.
