If you get a pup from a breeder, make sure he/she is reputable and evaluates the pup's personality for you. If you want a mellow pup---tell them so.
Do you know what breed you are interested in? Are you going to stick with a yorkie? There are oversized yorks... |
I love Goldens, too. But I also know it wouldn't be the right choice for her. I was thinking about getting a Bichon or a Westie at first. But I am not sure whether it would be all right so I posted the question here. Personally, I like to have a bigger dog so I would feel comfortable walking them at night. Then I got all these nice people's response and I thought maybe a bigger one would work. I wasn't considering Standard Poodle (because of their size) until I heard what people have to say here and saw all the photos. I don't really like to have a toy poodle so I am kind of stuck there. Anyway, I guess I am back to Bichon and Westie. I just need to be sure they are not too big for my little girl.
