I think training helps, I give Joey a treat after every few pictures, the treat is just is regular food, but it's enough to make him work. I've been practicing with a back drop, so far, it looks stupid, it's probably easier to put them on a couch or chair and use that as some type of backdrop, some people photoshop, but you have to be pretty good at cutting out the picture, or it looks bad. The easiest way is to use picture tubes, and you can get a unique look with those.
